Your Self Care Tools
Healthy ways to help you live life in harmony
within yourself
Applying self care tools in my life daily to help me live and experience life with joy.
Living with joy and gratitude in your heart helps to render the impossible, possible.
At the same time not giving a fairy tale ending that all will be well, and more like the realisation that life will continue to do its thing and that changes will happen in life, of which that you cannot control.
To control is to resist and to resist causes the friction within us. The dream is not the happy ending but rather having the compassion in ourselves to meander through situations in the least disruptive way for our body, mind and soul.
Set healthy boundaries and be mindful of others
Respect the body that you have been gifted
Feed your mind with what encourages you to be
creative
Feel & Feed into your Soul
In practice - in what way could this look like
YOUR
BODY
Walk/run/skip/jump - and not because you are trying to get to one place or trying to beat a time that someone else has set but purely for the enjoyment of it.
Laugh, sing, shout, put your arms out wide, breathe and embrace the beauty of life.
Do it for pleasure.
YOUR
MIND
Skip the tv at night. Welcome the silence.
Only in silence could you let your intuition speak to you. Notice if you talk to yourself in a critical way and take your mind to court. Would your thoughts stand up in court?
Make a house rule of "no name calling" of ourselves and others.
Ask yourself, why would I be saying this to myself, when I wouldn't to others?
I am a firm believer of seeing a therapist or a mentor at least once a month, we have so many thoughts flying around in our mind, it helps to have a neutral person to talk them through with.
YOUR
SOUL
Dare I say - "Come to me for Sound Healing". Joking aside, working with your life force by unblocking, healing and retraining the frequencies in your body. A place where you are given the space to integrate your body, mind and soul.
Come and let yourself relax, allowing yourself to be open, safe and curious.
Also, people think I am crazy when I say this "take a soak in a salt bath". Give your soul a chance to feel held in water and be cleansed.
MENTOR
I am a firm believer that we all need guides, mentors, teachers to support us in our lives both personally and professionally. Each to help us in our growth.
Be Cortade Walking and Talking in Nature Counsellor.
Melanie Tomsett Homeopathy and Shamanic Quest Practitioner.
.
Ray Watters Humanistic Counsellor and Founder of "Drum
with us".
Hoppi Wimbush Healer, Musician and Educator.
Setting your boundaries - What does it look like?
By not being afraid to say "no" on the chance that you would come across unhelful. Not
overcommiting to everything that sounds good, or where you fear that you could be missing out
or that you will not be liked or loved.
